The Canadian Commie is back in the news today, this time banning “assault-style” firearms. The decree is effective immediately.
The ban comes after a mass shooting in Nova Scotia where 22 were killed. As typical, government removes more of our rights and freedoms. For every nut job with a firearm, there are uncountable sane people using them to defend their families.
This is just another excuse by government to remove your rights.
The decree states, licensed gun owners are no longer allowed to sell, transport, import or use their weapons in Canada.
Notice, they have licensing in their nation for firearms, but that no longer matters. They also have regulations already on the books to only allow 5 cartridges per magazine, but that no longer matters either. All of these gun control measures were baby steps for what the Canadian Commie just did.
Trudeau said there will be a two-year amnesty period to allow people who already own these firearms to comply with the ban. Trudeau promised to pass legislation in the coming months to provide “fair compensation” to people who own these firearms. – CBC
This is not only a ban on “assault weapons”, but confiscation of them as well. A soft confiscation. As they plan to compensate the people for the loss of their property.
This all comes at a time when the government continues to overreach and remove rights from the people. This is no coincidence, but a part of a very well-coordinated plan to remove power from the people.
