Huge Financial Incentive For Hospitals And Doctors To Diagnose All Illnesses As COVID-19

That is right, there are huge financial incentives for hospitals and doctors to diagnose all illness as COVID-19. In addition, we recently brought up when a death is diagnosed as COVID-19, it potentially clears the hospital of wrongful death suits.

Fox News interviewed Dr. Scott Jensen of Minnesota who also happens to be a state senator. According to Fox News, Jensen explains,

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines for doctors to certify whether a patient has died of coronavirus are “ridiculous” and could be misleading the public.

What CDC guidelines?

The ones we documented in this article, Fauci: America Getting Back To Normal ‘Might Not Ever Happen’ Without A Vaccine and talked about in this video, How Do You Feel About The Coronavirus Now?

Those CDC guidelines state,

In cases where a definite diagnosis of COVID–19 cannot be made, but it is suspected or likely (e.g., the circumstances are compelling within a reasonable degree of certainty), it is acceptable to report COVID–19 on a death certificate as “probable” or “presumed.”CDC

Simply meaning, deaths may not be attributed to COVID-19, but can be diagnosed as such anyway.

Jensen continues,

“The idea that we are going to allow people to massage and sort of game the numbers is a real issue because we are going to undermine the [public] trust,” he said. “And right now as we see politicians doing things that aren’t necessarily motivated on fact and science, their trust in politicians is already wearing thin.”

So on one hand, we have YouTube banning videos over the “facts” of some doctors, while dismissing the facts being cited by other doctors. It sounds like confusion to me.

Now read closely what Jensen explains next,

“Right now Medicare has determined that if you have a COVID-19 admission to the hospital you’ll get paid $13,000. If that COVID-19 patient goes on a ventilator, you get $39,000; three times as much. Nobody can tell me, after 35 years in the world of medicine, that sometimes those kinds of things [have] impact on what we do.

Another article explains, if a patient is admitted with pneumonia, the hospital only receives $4,600 per patient. So we can see a huge incentive to diagnose a patient as COVID instead of pneumonia.

“Some physicians really have a bent towards public health and they will put down influenza or whatever because that’s their preference.”

This is extremely telling of our present situation, there is far too much money to be made by diagnosing illness as COVID, instead of pneumonia.

As we pointed out in a previous article, the CDC states in 50% of all COVID-19 cases the patient also had pneumonia.

Now guess which illness some doctors are more likely to write down…
