Bible Question and Answer
Welcome to our bi-weekly post Bible Question, Answer and Discussion where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer some of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Because of your ongoing participation these Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation this section of our site would not exist. So if you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible: Question, Answer and Discussion“.

Question 1:

Name: Gwen
Question: Are we to learn the Song of Moses? Is this a song?

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Gwen, thank you for the question.

It is not a requirement that we must memorize the Song of Moses and yes it is a song. Some could argue you cannot sing a song unless you know the lyrics which is true, but no one knows the tempo of the song and God may place all of that into their minds. That is only my guess. There certainly is no harm in memorizing the verses however.

With that said, the Song of Moses can be found in Deuteronomy 31:30-32:45. We can document the overcomers of the Tribulation of Satan will sing this song in the book of Revelation. Please turn your Bible with me to,

Revelation 15:1-3
1 “And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”

2 “And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.”

3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints”

What a wonderful day that will be, when Christ returns and places Satan where he belongs in the pit. When those who stood by our Father are rewarded for their service. When the Words of this Song will be fulfilled.

Question 2:

Name: Lance
Question: Hi Brandon. As always, enjoying the website and daily news e-mails.
My question is about Leviticus 3:17 “It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood”.

Am I assuming correctly that the reason for this is because the fat was to be burned for sacrifice, along with the rest of the animal? I recently heard Pastor Arnold Murray speak about health laws. I hope I am remembering correctly, but I thought I heard him say we are not to eat fat because it is unhealthy for us. However I am sure you have heard about the research done about the Dr that falsely reported that fat and cholesterol is not responsible for heart disease. Sugar and refined carbs are. I put myself to the test and have greatly improved my health by eliminating sugar and refined carbs, and increased my intake of animal fat and tropical oils. Blood pressure is now on the low side rather than high side, and down to normal weight and feeling much better than I ever have. I am not saying Murray is wrong, I am just confused by my own experience with fat seemingly being good for us, and the thousands of other people who have had amazing success with the same diet. Thank you for your help.

Answer: Thank you for the question Lance and we are glad you are enjoying the site.

What is discussed in Leviticus 3 is a “peace offering” and only the fat was to be burned, not the entire animal. The first seven chapters of Leviticus cover the different types of offerings that were made to the Lord. I want to make sure it is clear to everyone this is no longer an acceptable practice. This was to remain “a statute for your generations“. We learned in a previous Bible Q&A that statues have been nailed to the cross by Christ.

Nonetheless fat was selected by our Father as it is the “richest or choice” part of the animal as the meaning of the word indicates (Strong’s word: 2459). If we go back to Genesis 4:4 we see that Abel’s offering to the Lord was acceptable as Abel brought the very best and fattest of his flock to the Lord.

Let us turn our Bibles one verse before the one you quoted.

Leviticus 3:16
16 “And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the LORD’S.”

That makes it pretty clear, we are not to eat the fat because it is our Father’s. There certainly is nothing wrong with eating meat, but consuming only the fat would not be a healthy thing to do.

I am certainly no dietitian, but from my own experiences the more processed foods you cut out of your diet the better. By removing these or limiting your intake of them you certainly do feel a lot better.

Question 3:

Name: Scott
Question: When Jesus ascended to Heaven after His resurrection did He use a vehicle like the ones described in Ezekiel ch.1?

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Scott. For those who are not sure what Scott is referring too please take the time to read Ezekiel 1. Take a paper and pencil and draw out what is being described and understand the only form of transportation during Ezekiel’s time was a wheel on a wagon. With that said please turn your Bible with me to,

Ezekiel 1:4
4 “And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.”

We believe what is described in Ezekiel 1 is an aircraft used by our Father (we plan to write a study on this subject at some point in the future when time permits). Some may find this hard to believe, but I can guarantee you our Father’s technology is far superior to ours.

The word amber here is not used to describe an actual color, but instead the material this aircraft was comprised of. The word amber is Strong’s word 2830 and it means, “probably bronze or polished spectrum metal“. Ezekiel was doing his best to describe the aircraft he saw that was built from some form of metal. In this verse we are also given a description of fire and if you have ever seen a rocket take off you know the fire in folds within itself to power it into flight.

I want everyone to take note this aircraft or whirlwind as Ezekiel called it was also referenced as a cloud. Why? The only objects that traversed the skies during Ezekiel’s time was birds and of course clouds. How exactly would you describe something that you never saw or had anything to compare it by? Naturally you would compare it to what you know.

Having laid some ground work, please turn your Bible with me to,

Acts 1:8-9
8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

9 “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.”

Now let us all think logically for a moment. Can a cloud really support or cause a person to be lifted into it? Of course not. A cloud is simply condensed water vapor. I believe the word cloud is used because there was simply no other way to explain what they were witnessing. Now please turn your Bible with me to,

Luke 9:33-34
33 “And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.”

34 “While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.”

I personally do not believe this was a literal cloud that not only moved toward them, but also allowed them the ability to enter into it. I believe this was an  aircraft just as Ezekiel described to us.

Luke 9:35
35 “And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.”

If you read the first chapter of Ezekiel you will discover that our Father’s Throne was aboard this aircraft and this is where I believe the voice came out of.

Luke 9:36
36 “And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.”

Our Father is real and so is His Word. He does not deal in pixie dust and fairy tales. When we read His Word we need to ensure we always understand the time period we are dealing with who is being addressed and what existed during that time frame. When we do this and seek Him through prayer for understanding while applying logical thinking we can come to understand many truths that have been hidden from us for so long.

We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. We would also like to thank our readers for submitting their questions and giving us the opportunity to share them with the audience. If you would like to ask a question submit it for the next edition of this post and continue the discussion by leaving a comment below. Previous editions of Bible Q&A can be found in our archive.
