Let All That You Do Be Done In Love

Let all that ye do be done in love.

1 Corinthians 16:14 (ASV)

At times, we lose sight of this simple and short verse. We become so focused on other aspects of life, we forget about love, or we forget how to apply it to our life, to our family, and friends.

Never Forget Love And Compassion

We come to know certain truths in life, and those truths not only shape who we are, but become our foundation. So important to us are these beliefs that we burn with a desire to share them with others.

So we reach out to our family and friends. To share these subjects that are so dear to our hearts. We share them, only to discover our family and friends have their own set of thoughts and beliefs.

Each of us become so focused on our own thoughts and beliefs, that we begin to disrespectfully disregard the beliefs or feelings of others.

So the division begins, and not long after, the fighting and the insults begin to consume us all.

On our path through life, and in our attempt to find the truth, somehow we forgot those nine simple words,

Let all that ye do be done in love.

We forgot to show compassion, and we allowed the knowledge we have been blessed with to divide our family and friends.

Love One Another

As Christians, we need to remember to love one another.

We need to remember those nine words.

We need to remember Jesus did not send us here to bicker among each other, but to love one another, to build up one another, and spread His Word to the world.

We need to remember that Jesus Christ is the Truth, and all others fail in comparison.

We need to remember,

God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

We need to remember,

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:13

That is what the Father and Son did.

Jesus sacrificed Himself, in effect perishing for the only Truth that matters, the only Truth that brings Salvation to our perishable souls.

When we go out into the world to share our thoughts and beliefs, we have to remember to share in love. Share what we know and believe to be true, but do not forget about love, do not forget when the receiver of your message rejects it, to depart in love.

Christ’s Commandment

While you think about these things, I want you to remember Christ’s Commandment,

“That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”

In life, we will never agree with our family and friends 100% of the time. It is during those times of disagreement that you should remember to love them, instead of allowing division to separate you and your family, which is profitable for nothing.

Lay aside your differences, if common ground cannot be found, set the subject aside.

Love your family, they are the closest and dearest thing you have on earth.
