Do Rabbit Holes And Doom Enhance Your Life?

Welcome to World Events And The Bible. I’m Brandon T. Ward. Hey, we’re going to talk about doom today, but probably not like you’re expecting.

Doom Is Everywhere

[00:00:07]

You know, the whole world is a mess. There’s doom, everything. There’s doom, there’s political doom, financial doom, medical doom, take your pick.

And you know, a lot of Christians are getting entangled in this stuff. I’m seeing it. I get emails from people, people reach out and talk about various things and that’s, that’s why I’m making this video. This kind of thing, disturbs me.

And I’ll explain why, one of the things, that it changes our focus. The more we focus on doom, you know, these bad things that may or may not happen that may not have a good foundation, but we’re getting ourselves wrapped into them so much, but we get so wrapped up into that and it takes us away from God.

And that’s my concern. Okay. That’s my concern.

Rabbit Holes And Doom

[00:00:50]

So the title of the video has to do with rabbit holes and doom, right?

And an analogy of the rabbit hole is this rabbit, he creates a hole and then there’s many branches to his hole, right?

So the concept here is in order to find this truth, you have to go in these rabbit holes to find this truth.

And once you go down one rabbit hole, you go off to the branch on the right, and then you go down to the branch on the left. But the whole idea is that you have to lurk in darkness to find truth.

Does that make sense?

No, no.

You know, the Bible talks about light and that God is the light. Jesus is the light and we need Him.

And have you ever like lost your keys or your wallet? And then you’ve told the kids, Hey, turn off all the lights in the house, let’s go find the wallet. You’ve never done that. Nobody would do that. They would actually say turn on the lights, right? Cause you need light to find truth.

Think about that spiritually. Think about that spiritually.

Doom Is Stressing Us Out!

[00:01:45]

There’s too much stuff on our mind. These days I saw this poll. It was a couple of weeks ago. It said 40% of Americans, politics are their top stressor. And at this time, I mean, everybody in their own nation, I’m sure it’s about the same story.

This was a Nebraska study on politics and health, not a poll. Even more confirming.

And then there was another aspect to this poll. It said one, every one in 20 people, they felt suicidal just by discussing or hearing politics.

So the next time you’re in the grocery store or something count off 20 people. And then one of them, probably would feel suicidal if you started talking about it. Those are roughly the odds.

To you, if that’s not something that’s on your mind, I can tell you this type of thing is real because I get emails from people about it. That are feeling suicidal about maybe politics or some other reason, a lack of faith.

And it’s important that we stay focused and not go down rabbit holes and darkness. Okay. All right. And that’s kind of why I’m putting together this video, because I’m just a little bit disturbed by some of the stuff that I’m seeing out there as a Christians, I should say. And I just want to hopefully help people bring it back, you know, just bring it back.

So think about these things as we go through this, how the things that you accept into your mind, your beliefs, how does it affect you?

How does it affect your family? And your health, your mental health is a big thing.

So think about those things as we move through this video. Okay.

Everyone Peddles Doom

[00:03:16]

You know, when I’m looking at the news, I’ll look at the left-wing stuff. I look at the right. I look at the alternative news and I even check in with the doomers to see what they’re talking about.

It gives me a really wide range of stuff. I don’t necessarily really recommend it, but I talk about world events in the Bible. So it’s just what I feel compelled to do. And when I see a lot of these doom scenarios, whatever the doom scenario is, I’m not going to get into specifics in this video.

I want it to just be, if I leave it that way, then it will be whatever is doom to you. And then you can put this whole video in your perspective. Okay.

But a lot of these doomer sites, you know, one guy will come up with some idea and everybody else latches onto it and they will all say that. Oh yeah. You know, an individual will say, I believe this, that, and the other thing. Well they believe it because they heard it from somebody else.

I mean, they didn’t even come up with the idea themselves. It just sort of sounded good to them. Kind of fit in with other things that they believed in already. And it became their new truth that they spread to everybody else.

I remember, remember when Fukushima Daiichi the nuclear power plant in Japan that earthquake in 2011?

I think it was around that time, maybe a couple of years after, there was people selling pills, pills to save you from the globalists. All this craziness, and saying that the water. So they were dumping the nuclear waste water from this nuclear power plant, because they were trying to cool it down and all this sort of thing.

And it’s a terrible thing. It’s a travesty, it’s certainly not healthy for you, but people were making the case at the whole west coast of the United States was dying off. The fish fish, all this thing, and people were getting cancers, and you know, it just happened be that me and my family went to the ocean during this timeframe when all this stuff was going on.

And I just remember thinking about, I wonder how many people are not going to come to the ocean today to experience what we’re experiencing, because they’re terrified that they’re going to get cancer or something like this.

It’s just over rated. You know, people will just blow up stuff to profit themselves. And I just hate seeing people fall into those traps.

I mean, look, my hands were in the ocean water. I mean, we’re all here. My children are helping me shoot this video right today and we’re all doing just fine. So you know, I want to tie into that it was a potassium iodide pills that they were selling people. So maybe that will help you remind remember that.

You know, these doomers, whether it’s individuals or the ones promoting the doom from a bigger level. They always forget how many times they’ve been wrong on some doom scenario.

You know, how many times they’ve been wrong and maybe it’s human nature. We kind of forget. We just go and move on to the next thing, and go to the next thing. We just keep getting roped in. You know, if we don’t know any better and again, that’s why it’s so much better to just focus on God.

And the king doomers, kind of what I guess I’m calling them here. Are the people who are in the alternative communities and they’re profiting off your fear. They’re promoting this fear. Have these pills to help you from this or whatever the doom may be.

Again, our governments today promote doom and they have policies and procedures that they say that you should follow to protect you from this doom. So again, the doom that I’m talking about is very wide spread, apply it to your own life.

I mean, there is a, a big difference between knowing bad things are going to happen and are happening in the world, and then immersing yourself into it. Like making it, letting it take you over.

That’s an entirely different thing, and I see it all the time.

And what is missing from doomers. I don’t care who they are?

God.

God is always missing from the doomers, certainly in a meaningful way. So I want you to think about that as well.

Always Question The Doom

[00:06:58]

And now here is what I want to pose to you. No matter what flavor of doom that you believe in, even if you’re right, even if, maybe what you think, you’re the only one that knows it and you’re right.

How does it benefit you by being right?

How does that doom benefit you?

How does the knowledge benefit you?

What are you doing differently now?

Because you have this knowledge that nobody else has, or maybe just a few people. Are you gaining something from it?

I mean, where’s the benefit, knowledge is power, right?

So when you have knowledge, you’re supposed to do something with it to better yourself for other people. Just spreading that, that same knowledge is not going to better anybody.

There has to be some end that justifies your belief in this. And you know, one last question on this.

How does your wife, husband, or children benefit from this?

Do they benefit, because they may not feel the same way that you feel about something. And if you’re constantly throwing these types of these doom things at them. It’s stressful on our mind. Think about the poll in the beginning of this, that I went over.

Christians Are Getting Roped Into The Doom

[00:08:05]

And again, there’s so many Christians getting sucked into this.

I mean, what does it really say about our beliefs?

If we get roped into this, all that one was wrong. Get roped into this. That one was wrong. I mean, we believe that there’s a God that you can’t see, right?

A lot of atheist, you can’t prove He exists and all this. So think about these things. When you keep getting roped into things, think about how it affects your belief and how people look at you as a Christian.

You know, as a Christian, you want to promote yourself as somebody very legitimate, somebody that’s knowledgeable, somebody that loves God and other people. Alright.

And can someone show me in the Bible where Jesus ever breed fear?

He never bred fear, right?

He told you not to be afraid. God has been telling you not to be afraid since the beginning, all these things. And the things that I see, tons of people leaving God. I don’t see many people coming to God these days.

I see people fleeing Him and they’re looking at you know, investing more time in rabbit holes than they are in the Bible. The more time you spend in a dark rabbit hole, the less time you spend in the light. Okay. Again, think about this stuff spiritually.

And I see people take a couple Bible verses maybe. They’ll cherry pick them out of there, and say it means this, that, or another thing. But then they leave out a ton of other verses.

I mean, this type of thing has been going on since the beginning of time. I just want to put it back into your mind. So you’re thinking about it. So what about what God says in a meaningful way? How about that?

God Removes Our Fears

[00:09:30]

Never fear.

That’s what God said, never fear.

How about second Timothy chapter one, verse seven.

Let’s see what it says.

It says, for God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.

God doesn’t do fear.

He does a sound mind. That’s what he does. He doesn’t do fear.

So who does fear?

Satan does fear.

How about Psalms 34:4.

Let’s look at it, Psalms 34:4.

It says, I have sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.

Man didn’t deliver you from your fears. God delivered you from your fears.

You don’t benefit from these rabbit holes. Okay.

Proverbs 29:25, it says, the fear of man brings a snare. Fear is no good, but whosoever putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

I mean, that’s what God says about fear and doom. Fear doesn’t come from Him. He brings you a sound mind, fear comes from the world.

When we allow too much of the world in. We allow too much of that in, that’s all we think about. We’re focusing on the doom and this whatever doom it is. And that means we start forgetting about God.

A Personal Story

[00:11:13]

I want to share this personal story with you. Roughly 20 years ago, I had this one friend. We’re all Bible friends. And we were talking about, you know, the last days and tribulation and this type of thing.

And I was telling him, I’m thinking about getting married and starting a family. And he says, oh, there’s no sense in that. And I’m like, why? And he says, because there’s not enough time left, you know, Jesus is going to show up before all that happens. So there’s no point. So I disagreed with him, you know.

And I feel that we’re in the last days and that we’ll see the tribulation. I mean, I hope that we will anyway, but the point is you never stop living your life ever.

So fast forward, I’ve been married for 15 years. I’ve been with the same lady for 19 years. And my oldest child is 13, and he’s the one, with my other two kids over here helping me shoot this video. So I mean, think about what my friends said.

I mean, I hope that he didn’t retain that thought that he had, because he missed an entire lifetime of enjoyment, friends and family and things.

So it’s one thing to have a little belief in something like this that maybe we live in the last days and then letting it consume you and overtake. I hope you understand the difference.

I don’t know what became of him. I just know that doom paralyzes people. I’ve seen it over and over and over again. And I don’t want it to happen to you.

Should you be prepared for emergencies? And if the tribulation does unfold? Yeah, absolutely. You should always be prepared. Some people live in really cold Northern parts of the country and different countries.

You should have things that you need in case the power goes out, all these type of things, of course, but that doesn’t mean you let it consume you. You just do what you gotta do, have what you need and move on. I mean, we’ve written about the tribulation, we’ve written about this in depth, so I understand those types of things.

So don’t let it dictate your life. Never. It’s good to be aware. But again, don’t immerse yourself in it. It’s unhealthy. Think about that poll, what it’s doing to people’s mind, just from the political aspect. Not to mention the religious aspect and medical aspect, financial aspect.

I mean, people will email me. We’re losing everything, like a year or two ago, you know, different things going on in the world. We’re losing everything. Our business has dried up. It’s sad hearing people’s stories. And a lot of people don’t understand it because they only see their economy.

You know, like, well, I got my job. I’m doing okay. And you don’t really think about, you know, your other brothers and sisters around the world. So kind of think about that.

Again, Question The Doom Scenarios

[00:13:45]

And so again, where is the benefit from the knowledge?

What do you obtain from this knowledge?

This doom stuff.

How does your family benefit from it?

That’s really the important thing. You want to teach your family, you know, teach them what, what you believe, but you also want them to understand how they can mature and grow up into adults and what they’re going to need to live in this world. Because it’s going to keep getting worse.

So you want to help them out with that and not just have them focused on one thing. Because then their mind and understanding is going to be like this, when it should be like this. Okay.

Fear brings more fear. That’s not from God.

How about some more Bible in a meaningful way?

Don’t Trust Men, Trust God

[00:14:25]

Don’t trust man.

Psalms 146:3, put not your trust in princes. Don’t trust your politicians, your leaders. Nor in the sons of man. Even your pastors, everybody don’t trust them. In whom there is no help. There’s no help in these people. The only help you have is God. That’s your help.

I want one more verse here, Jeremiah 17:5.

It says, thus saith the Lord, cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm and whose heart departeth from the Lord. This is what I am talking about, when you trust other men, what they’re saying, these ideas of doom, they give you, and then you repeat them. You’re playing this whole fear game.

God doesn’t send the fear, right?

And when you do that, you depart from the Lord. You do cause you’re given the doom more time than God.

So look, this whole video, I haven’t told you one thing what to believe have I?

I didn’t say believe this, believe that, I didn’t say that at all.

I asked you to question what you believe.

Question it. Try it by fire as the Bible talks about.

Question the motives, like, why are you being told this?

Why are you reading about this?

Who’s promoting this and who does it benefit?

Does it benefit somebody, if you believe this? Maybe somebody’s selling you something, I don’t know. Think about these things.

Be Wise And Strong For God And Your Family

[00:15:58]

The reason I put this video together, and I’ve just discussed all this with you is I want you to be strong for God.

I want you to be able to stand with Him and help Him accomplish His mission of establishing His kingdom and planting it within people.

I want you to be strong for your family, so they can look up to you and have someone to help them guide them through this world and not live in a constant state of fear.

And my friends rabbit holes will not help you there.

So with that, thank you so much for watching, and have a good day.
