(+ Montana) Utah Becomes 17th State To Restore Second Amendment!

Update for 2-19-2021: Montana has become the 18th state in the union to end its concealed carry permit requirement!

Fantastic news! Utah Governor Spencer Cox has signed House Bill 60 which removed the need for a concealed carry firearm permit.

The bill states, “a law-abiding adult” can “carry a concealed firearm in the State of Utah, without first needing to obtain government permission.”

NRA-ILA chimed in on the news,

“There is no reason a law-abiding person should have to ask for permission to carry a firearm for self-defense,” said Jason Ouimet, executive director, NRA-ILA. “The passage of this bill demonstrates Utah’s commitment to protecting the Second Amendment rights of its citizens.” “We thank Gov. Cox, Rep. Brooks, and all who supported this important bill,” Ouimet concluded.

This removes the illegal regulation that was in place for a very long time. Governments have no right to restrict our ownership and use of firearms.

The Second Amendment states,

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

Requiring a permit to carry a firearm, concealed or not, infringes on our right to bear arms. Utah made the right decision here.

Utah now becomes the 17th state to revoke illegal concealed carry firearm permit policies. The other 16 states are;

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Tennessee may become the 18th state if their current legislation moves forward.
