During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer one of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Because of your ongoing participation these Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation this section of our site would not exist. So if you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible: Question, Answer and Discussion“.

Question 1:

Name: Cindy
Question: How does one obtain the title “Reverend”???
I searched the Bible and found the word “reverend” once in Psalms 111. However it says reverend is His name. Why do I see so many Ministers with REV. in the front of their name(s)? I ask because in my local church here in Hawaii – many call themselves Reverend but have never gone to school or attend a seminary. I asked the head Minister but was never answered. Hoping you will help me with this question that’s been on my heart for years now.
Mahalo for your time:)

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Cindy and good job seeking out the scriptures and trying to find the answer.

I will say I personally do not put much stock in any Christian institution much less one that claims to provide credentials. I think credentials are important to men, not to our Father. I do not recall reading about any of the Disciples with “reverend” or any other religious title in front of their names.

You are correct though, the word “reverend” is found one time in Psalms 111:9, let us turn there.

Psalms 111:9
9 “He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.”

Reverend is His name, being our Father’s name and title not ours. Why do “Godly” men use that title? I suppose it makes them feel important and people see and hear that title and think this person must be special. We see the same thing with the largest organized religion in the world. Their head leader is called “father“, yet Matthew 23:9 says ‘call no man father, but your Father in Heaven’.

What I would like to drive home here is whoever serves God and teaches His Word is no one special, our Father is not a respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). Instead, teachers should humble themselves and remember their job is to be a servant. After all Jesus Christ was our example and He served us, let us document that. Please turn your Bible with me to,

Mark 10:45
45 “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”

Christ, the Son of the Living God did not come here to show us how mighty He was. Instead, He came to serve us and show us how to live and while that is a tough act to follow, it is one we should all strive for.

Question 2:

Name: Mark
Question: I was doing some research and found that the UN is moving to Israel, furthermore that obama is running for secretary general. If this all takes place, would he be the raiser of taxes and then the vile one comes in spoken of in Daniel?

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Mark, thank you for the question and in case I did not say it already welcome to the site and I extend that welcome for anyone else we may have missed.

I believe I read the same article you did and after researching the article I could not find any creditable information regarding the United Nations moving to Jerusalem. Further, I found the information was originally published a year ago, but the story made the rounds once again. I believe this is a hoax as the U.N. has no information on this either.

As we move further into the end times we are going to have more lies and deception so prepare yourself for that and ensure you verify anything you are told, especially if it is of a Biblical nature.

As for obama there are rumors swirling that he will seek the head United Nations position in December when Ban Ki Moon steps down, we had a post about this a few days ago.

I do not believe in any shape or form obama fits the description of the raiser of taxes. Please turn your Bible with me to,

Daniel 11:20
20 “Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.”

One could argue that “days” could be translated as a “full year” which is one of the meanings. I would say that is a stretch. obama has been in office for seven years now so he does not meet the qualification of this scripture. Further, I believe this scripture is more encompassing than a single nation.

Daniel 11:21
21 “And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.”

Notice, “obtains the kingdom“. We know Satan is going to take over the entire earth, not a single nation. Further this vile one stands up in the raiser of taxes estate. That vile one is Satan who will claim to be Christ as I am sure you are already aware of. Satan is not going to stand in place of obama as the leader of the United States. I realize you did not say that, but I feel it needs to be said for the benefit of others. Instead, Satan is going to reign as king over the entire world and even the U.N. is not the king of the world, they are primarily funded by the United States after all.

I have witnessed many people during my life who try and force the scriptures together in order to speed events up in their minds. The fact is we are on our Fathers clock and there is still some scriptures that need to come to pass. Remember, Damascus is still not in ruins, though it is well on the way. Daniel 8 has not been fulfilled, we have no ten kings from Revelation 17 and Jerusalem is not surrounded by armies. Setting dates for this or that only sets us up for a loss of faith which we alluded to in our latest article. Again, I am saying this for the benefit of others.

One thing is certain, when Daniel 11:20 is fulfilled it will be a major event as it will assist in ushering in the appearance of Satan.

Question 3:

Name: Irene
Question: Do you think their are people out there with special gifts or maybe they are born with it or just one day they woke up one morning with it?

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Irene, thank you for the question.

There are certainly people in this world with special gifts and those all come from our Father. Let us document that, please turn your Bible with me to.

James 1:17
17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

Some people are born with special gifts while I believe others are granted gifts through prayer with our Father.

Not only are there gifts, but many different kinds and each of us have some of these gifts. Each gift is special in its own right and we are all a part of the body of Christ, we all contribute to sharing and bringing His Word forward with these gifts. Please turn with me to,

1 Corinthians 12:4
4 “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.”

There are many different gifts, but they all come from the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:5-6
5 “And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.”

6 “And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.”

We see there are different gifts and different roles where those gifts operate.

1 Corinthians 12:7
7 “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”

Are we supposed to hide our gifts? No, we are to use them to profit, to make a gain for our Father’s Word not for monetary gain. You can think of the parable of the talent here (Matthew 25:14-30).

1 Corinthians 12:8-11
8 “For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;”

9 “To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;”

10 “To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:”

11 “But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”

So we can see there are many Heavenly gifts; wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits and speaking and understanding the various languages of the earth. All of these gifts are required in order to bring forward and spread our Father’s most precious Word.

We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. 1. Thanks Brandon
I saw the same research after I posted, as for all that is prophesied in the Bible would it be safe to say that it all happens in the middle East, as I study I noticed in scripture that the prophecies happened and are happening over there or am I missing something

    • There is a lot going on in the Middle East no doubt about it. Some of the prophecies are definetly specific to that region as well. However, the end times prophecies with respect to world government and the mark of the beast would be global in nature. Even the chaos in the Middle East, who is the biggest sponser of it? Western Nations of course. So we should understand that every point of the globe is involved with bringing about a new world order government that Satan will lead.

Remember, we know the tribes for the most part migrated to even this once great nation known as America. So you can expect this nation will and is playing a great role during these final days.

      • I’m glad you brought up the Israelites i did a post an another forum about my ancestors and come to find out that on
both sides of my family we came from different tribes of the Israelites, probably intermixed along the way. The thing is I’m the only one in my whole family that knows God’s truth in the Bible, they will not listen to me about there is no rapture and the kenites and alot more. I do know now that I am one of the 144,000. I’ve watched SC since 97 but the change happened in 2013 my heart lept and it scared me, but it was very pleasant, right then and there I started seeing the deception and truths, I received eyes to see and ears to hear, disearnment. To me I believe that was the sealing in my forehead. I had to share
God bless you Brandon and this website

  2. Cindy, Reverend means reverence. We do that to God, not man. That should answer your question right there. I personally don’t care what they want to be called or what others want to call them, they are just a man so I do not reverence them or pretend I do by calling them that. Something like Pastor is fine, but I reverence God only so don’t anyone expect me to call a man reverend, I think it sounds a lot like blasphemy and I am not going to do it.

  3. Great questions and very good answers Brandon! The Spirit has surely touched you! God Bless
