The Next Threat To Global Health Isn’t What You Think

Hey, we made it to another Friday!

Unfortunately, it’s similar to last Friday, the crazies are still running the world. Even worse, there’s no good guys coming to save us, so we’re on our own.

Joy huh?

I know that’s no way to be on this fine Friday, but I just can’t help it…

I mean, they’re still telling me that Putin is going to nuke my family any minute. Heck, we’ve been holding up in our doomsday bunker for two years now, and nothing! I expected something by now… Actually, I thought Putin was going to tip over from cancer or who knows what else.

That’s what the media kept saying, but the dude keeps on ticking.

You know, I once read that Putin swims every morning in the cold Russian water they have over there. He’s the manly type, perhaps that’s what keeps him going.

You know what though, Putin is the least of our worries right now…

The real threat?

The real killer?

Cheeseburgers!

No, I haven’t fallen off my rocker just yet.

Get this…

The Telegraph reports, that obesity is now a greater threat to global health than hunger.

Can you believe it?

If our ancient ancestors were only alive today, they’d never believe it! Those guys never saw the quantities of food we consume today. Those guys died looking for food, and “leftovers,” they never had such a thing.

On the other hand, modern man eats and eats, until he can’t eat anymore.

Then he has a snack.

It’s gotten out of hand.

I tell you what, I’ve never seen such large waist bands in my entire life, except for the last few years. You can thank the lockdowns for that. People just sat around with chips in their lap watching the tube. Unfortunately, it’s become a habit for far too many people.

Let me tell you something…

God doesn’t like slothful people.

I think Solomon said it best.

Proverbs 23:21
For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Hey, you’ll come to poverty in more ways than one.

Health is wealth!

Don’t forget it.

Take care of yourself, stop worrying about Putin, and everyone else and their dog.

You know my friends, that’s all you can really do in life, is take care of yourself. Watch your health, get some exercise, educate yourself. In fact, each and everyday we should seek to improve ourselves just a bit more than the day prior.

God likes people like that.

Hey, what’s the first thing He did with Adam?

Genesis 2:15
And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

He put that boy to work!

Work is good, sweating is good, and tending to your own affairs is good.

Let me Bible thump you…

2 Thessalonians 3:11
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Double thump…

2 Thessalonians 3:12
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

There we have it.

Take care of yourself and focus on the things you can control in life.

No matter how hard you try, you won’t be able to stop Putin’s Russian fingers from pressing the nuke button, if he even wants too. So why even worry about something that honestly, isn’t going to happen anyway?

It’s propaganda!

The same thing with the political circus here at home.

Hey, go vote if you want, but then get back to enjoying time with your family, keep yourself fit, educate yourself in Scripture, and the finer things of this world.
