This Is What Russia Really Wants

If we listen to Western media and governments, they tell us Russia is thisclose to invading Ukraine. In fact, Biden just said, he is convinced Russia will invade Ukraine within days. Those days have now passed.

However, we rarely, if ever hear the Russian side of the argument.

So after writing Friday’s article, I decided to heed Mom’s advice to us kids growing up. Always listen to both sides of an argument.

So I did, and found some very interesting details…

What We Already Know

Before I dive into those details, I want you to recall the scenario at hand.

The West wants to bring Ukraine into NATO to have a military and strategic position against Russia. Literally, NATO wants to become closer neighbors with Russia. I mean, that’s just obvious as day. Yet, NATO is a military alliance that was designed to thwart Soviet Russia from long ago.

Now in the first article I wrote on this new global drama, I included a link to a video clip from Russia’s Press Secretary. He flat out said, ‘Russia is not, and has not planned any invasion into Ukraine.’

He followed that up by saying,

“We’re living in a world of fake accusations, fake news and in a world of lies. Until it is proven somehow […] we will continue to presume it is fake news.”

While Biden Talks Russian War, America Falls Apart

Who can argue with that?

Now, in Friday’s article, I explained when Russian President Vladimir Putin was asked about the possibility of war, he said,

We do not want war in Europe.”

Will Russia Really Go To War With Ukraine?

Ukraine is in Europe.

So,

  • All we hear from Western media and government is Russia wants war.
  • All we hear from the Russian government is they do not want war.

Someone is lying…

All of these conflicting details have been bothering me.

It was after Friday’s article that I decided, I need to do some more digging around.

Remember those interesting details I found?

Let’s dive in…

The Diplomacy Letter

This is all critical to understand.

U.S. Ambassador John Sullivan was provided Russia’s response to a draft treaty in person by the Russian Foreign Ministry. This concerns some of the back and forth that have taken place, discussions we do not hear about from the media.

This letter is dated February 17th.

We state that the American side did not give a constructive response to the basic elements of the draft treaty with the United States prepared by the Russian side on security guarantees. We are talking about the rejection of further expansion of NATO, the withdrawal of the “Bucharest formula” that “Ukraine and Georgia will become members of NATO“, and the rejection of the creation of military bases on the territory of states that were previously part of the USSR and are not members of the alliance, including the use of their infrastructure for conducting any military activity, as well as the return of military capabilities, including strike, and NATO infrastructure to the state of 1997, when the Russia-NATO Founding Act was signed. These provisions are of fundamental importance for the Russian Federation.

Apparently, the United States blew off Russia’s requests in the original draft treaty.

Yet, it certainly becomes clear. Russia does not want NATO at its doorstep. To put this in perspective, the U.S. would never accept the Russian military in Mexico, especially Canada.

There is much more to this letter.

The growing military activity of the United States and NATO directly at Russian borders is alarming, while our “red lines” and fundamental security interests, as well as Russia’s sovereign right to protect them, continue to be ignored.

If you look at this NATO map, we can see that NATO is already touching Russia’s border.

Look what else we have…

In the absence of the readiness of the American side to agree on firm, legally binding guarantees to ensure our security from the United States and its allies, Russia will be forced to respond, including through the implementation of military-technical measures.

Russia is simply saying, if the United States will not address Russian security concerns as outlined in the first paragraph, they will respond militarily and technically, (think cyberattacks).

Can anyone really argue with Russia’s position here?

Now what about all this Ukraine business?

Russian And Ukraine Diplomacy

Let’s continue with the letter handed to U.S. Ambassador Sullivan.

There is no and is not planned any “Russian invasion” of Ukraine, which the United States and its allies have been declaring at the official level since autumn last year, therefore statements about Russia’s “responsibility for the escalation” cannot be regarded otherwise than as an attempt to put pressure on and devalue Russia’s proposals for security guarantees.

How many times does Russia need to say it?

They are not planning to invade Ukraine.

In fact, where is the proof that 190,000 Russian troops are on the Ukrainian border?

This all reminds me of U.S. President George Bush telling us on national television that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Turned out, they never did. Of course, we discovered that after we conquered and plundered the nation.

So Russia contends, this “Russian invasion” rhetoric is a cover story to delegitimize Russia’s demands for NATO to withdraw. In my mind, this all seems much more plausible than Russia wanting to invade neighboring Ukraine for some unknown reason.

Oh, but there is much more!

Here is another reason why Ukraine is such a “red line” for Russia.

Back in 2014, Crimea was annexed by Russia…

The decision of the people of Crimea and Sevastopol to return to the Russian Federation was made by free will in the exercise of the right to self-determination enshrined in the UN Charter. No force or threat of force was used.

Get that?

Now back to Ukraine…

If Ukraine is accepted into NATO, there will be a real threat that the regime in Kiev will try to “return” Crimea by force, drawing in the United States and its allies, in accordance with Art. 5 of the Washington Treaty, into a direct armed conflict with Russia with all the ensuing consequences.

Russia’s concern, once Ukraine becomes a NATO member, they will take military action against Crimea. This would certainly draw in the United States and its allies into a massive military conflict with Russia.

In Russia’s mind, stop it now before it gets there.

No wonder this is a “red line”.

So there we have the full scope right from the official diplomacy letter that was handed to the United States Ambassador. This is not a media report, this is actually what is going on.

This confirms to me, very clearly, the West is trying to bring about a new war.

Why, why, why?

To decide who will be the global power of the world, (see: Alexey Pushkov’s quote on Don’t Rush The New World Order).

Wealth and power, why else?

I will prove that point before this is all over.

The Putin Letter

Over the weekend, I begin diving into all of this.

To add to it, a reader dropped a gem in my lap. A letter from Russian President Vladimir Putin from July 12th, 2021. It is titled, “On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians”. I read the whole thing and became very intrigued.

I want to share some of the highlights with you.

In this letter, Putin goes on to explain the historical ties between the Russian people, including Ukrainians. He goes far back in history to explain, they are all the same people, they are “one people”.

Putin states, in recent years, a wall has gone up between Russia and Ukraine. He took some of the blame, but also said.

But these are also the result of deliberate efforts by those forces that have always sought to undermine our unity. The formula they apply has been known from time immemorial – divide and rule. There is nothing new here. Hence the attempts to play on the ”national question“ and sow discord among people, the overarching goal being to divide and then to pit the parts of a single people against one another.

Wicked people always play divide and conquer.

Jesus warned us against this tactic, (Mark 3:24-25). We have even seen these tactics used in our own nations, along various boundaries and concerns. This fractures our nations so they can be divided up and spoiled.

Putin explains, centuries ago, the Rus peoples (Russian ethnicity) were divided for political and economic gain. He once again sees that taking place.

I have to say, I have never seen a head of state write such an open and honest letter. Certainly never a letter concerning one’s ancestral people, and with the concern of them staying united.

Today, all I see are efforts to destroy our nation’s heritage.

Let’s continue reading Putin’s letter.

I recall that long ago, well before 2014, the U.S. and EU countries systematically and consistently pushed Ukraine to curtail and limit economic cooperation with Russia.

Step by step, Ukraine was dragged into a dangerous geopolitical game aimed at turning Ukraine into a barrier between Europe and Russia, a springboard against Russia. Inevitably, there came a time when the concept of “Ukraine is not Russia” was no longer an option. There was a need for the “anti-Russia” concept which we will never accept.

That last sentence right there.

That is the very heart of the matter.

The matter we are watching play out in the form of the West’s narrative. Putin’s letter makes it very clear, Russia will never accept the Ukrainian peoples being divided from among the Russian people. They will never allow them to become enemies.

Why?

Lastly, as early as May of this year (2021), the current president (Ukrainian) introduced a bill on “indigenous peoples” to the Rada. Only those who constitute an ethnic minority and do not have their own state entity outside Ukraine are recognized as indigenous. The law has been passed. New seeds of discord have been sown.

The Ukrainian government did in fact, pass an “indigenous peoples” bill. It basically means any Russian people living in Ukraine cannot be considered “Ukrainian”. This would cut them out of certain civil rights.

The bill defines “indigenous peoples” as “Crimean Tatars, Karaims and Krymchaks”.

Remember what we covered about Crimea above, do you see where this is all going?

By the way, have we not seen similar things happen in our own nations?

We have seen massive division between races. A massive effort to pit them against each other in our own nations. None of this is a coincidence, globally, we are being divided amongst each other to conform to someone else’s agenda (for globalization).

Here is what Putin finds so distasteful about all of this.

The situation in Ukraine today is completely different because it involves a forced change of identity. And the most despicable thing is that the Russians in Ukraine are being forced not only to deny their roots, generations of their ancestors but also to believe that Russia is their enemy. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the path of forced assimilation, the formation of an ethnically pure Ukrainian state, aggressive towards Russia, is comparable in its consequences to the use of weapons of mass destruction against us.

Russia contends, turning Ukraine into an enemy of Russia, is like using weapons of mass destruction against Russia. This really tells us how seriously Putin takes all of this.

Now we have all heard about the Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine by now. These are peoples who are loyal to Russia, people who want to be under the arm of the Russian Federation.

No wonder we have things like the “indigenous peoples” bill. It’s simply another effort to divide the people, and even label some the enemy of the Ukrainian state.

Where have I heard that before?

In America, parents are deemed the enemy of the state.

In essence, it’s the same old story, just a different nation.

What else did Putin have to say?

We are facing the creation of a climate of fear in Ukrainian society, aggressive rhetoric, indulging neo-Nazis and militarising the country. Along with that we are witnessing not just complete dependence but direct external control, including the supervision of the Ukrainian authorities, security services and armed forces by foreign advisers, military “development” of the territory of Ukraine and deployment of NATO infrastructure. It is no coincidence that the aforementioned flagrant law on “indigenous peoples” was adopted under the cover of large-scale NATO exercises in Ukraine.

Putin’s point is well received.

The “indigenous peoples” bill tremendously divides Ukraine, making Russians living there become outcasts and enemies of the state. This fits in perfectly with a NATO takeover of the Ukrainian nation.

Remember, I said the purpose was for wealth, power, and resources?

This is also a disguise for the takeover of the rest of the Ukrainian economy and the exploitation of its natural resources. The sale of agricultural land is not far off, and it is obvious who will buy it up. From time to time, Ukraine is indeed given financial resources and loans, but under their own conditions and pursuing their own interests, with preferences and benefits for Western companies.

Now these are just Putin’s words, but my friends, we have seen this same story repeated over and over again.

  • Have we all really forgotten about Iraq and Afghanistan?
  • Have we forgotten about all the private contractors and Halliburton?

Perhaps we have.

Here Putin draws the line one more time…

And we will never allow our historical territories and people close to us living there to be used against Russia. And to those who will undertake such an attempt, I would like to say that this way they will destroy their own country.

This all goes to show me what I already knew in part.

Russia prefers its own traditional culture and heritage, and they do not want interference or the ancestral peoples to be turned against one another. Certainly not used against his own nation.

It seems like a noble cause.

Nevertheless, Russia has made it clear over and over again.

  • Russia has no intentions of invading Ukraine.
  • Russia does not want a war in Europe (Ukraine).
  • Russia does not want ancestral people turned against each other and turned into a NATO arm.

Putin draws a parallel,

Just have a look at how Austria and Germany, the USA and Canada live next to each other. Close in ethnic composition, culture, in fact sharing one language, they remain sovereign states with their own interests, with their own foreign policy. But this does not prevent them from the closest integration or allied relations. They have very conditional, transparent borders. And when crossing them the citizens feel at home. They create families, study, work, do business.

This is a great example of what Putin wants for all Rus ancestral people.

For me, in word, Putin is not trying to be a dictator. Putin has no problem with Ukraine’s sovereignty, the issue is Ukraine being turned into an enemy of Russia to be used against Russia.

Putin concludes,

Russia is open to dialogue with Ukraine and ready to discuss the most complex issues. But it is important for us to understand that our partner is defending its national interests but not serving someone else’s, and is not a tool in someone else’s hands to fight against us.

We respect the Ukrainian language and traditions. We respect Ukrainians’ desire to see their country free, safe and prosperous.

For we are one people.

Summary

I think it is important that we remember exactly what is going on here. We find the overreaching United States and NATO partnership continuing to amass their military around the world. The Western Globalization of the world is continually in progress.

It is not Russia or any other nation that continues to do this, (militarily speaking). It is not Russia or any other nation that acts as the world’s police. It is the United States and NATO. Everywhere they have gone they have plundered the nations, all in the name of peace and safety.

Not one of the middle eastern nations is better off today than long ago. It is the United States who is continually involved in the affairs of other nations. Those are facts, historical and presently.

While I am sure Putin is no saint, can we really deny and invalidate his points after all we already know?

If Russia does invade, I think we know why…

The fact of the matter is, we are all being brainwashed for the betterment of a select few. We are only allowed to be patriotic when it fits the agenda at hand, (think: 9/11, war on terror), otherwise, we become enemies of the state, (think: our nation’s destroyed national heritage).
